Lot 798
Philip I, 244-249. As (Copper, 24 mm, 7.69 g, 1 h), Rome, summer 247-January 248. IMP PHILIPPVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I to right, seen from behind. Rev. PAX AETERNA / S - C Pax standing front, head to left, holding branch in her right hand and scepter with her left. Cohen 106 var. (differing obverse legend). RIC 184b var. (differing obverse legend). An apparently unpublished hybrid issue. Minor breaks in patina and with a thin flan crack, otherwise, about very fine.

From the G.G. Collection of Roman Imperial third century middle bronzes.

This is an interesting hybrid issue, as it combines the rare short name obverse of Philip I with a reverse that was only struck for Philip II during this time.
